Year 500

Will you reclaim your memory and save humanity? Or fall to the corruption and become Broken? Year 500 is a character action game by The Breakers Entertainment. As Oden, the player must traverse the corrupted-ridden world of Asterra defeating and claiming bounties that were once the former generals of the mad King Runic. As Oden attempts to claim the bounties, his memory fades in and out as he tries desperately to recall his past. Will he overcome his amnesia and save the world? Or will he fail and become Broken? Only you can decide.

Concept Art

I had the pleasure of creating captivating environmental concept art for Year 500. I created dynamic and easily understood art for the 3D modelers to be able to reference off of. Each piece was decided with meticulous consideration of the game's lore and art direction, ensuring that my concept art seamlessly blended with the games overall aesthetic.

Storybook Cutscene Sections

There are cutscenes in each of the three levels to tell part of the story that the player goes through. For portions of the cutscenes, there are storybook sections to tell some of the backstory of the world.

Campsite UI

The campsite was a 2D space where players were able to interact with NPCs (nonplayer characters), get upgrades and buy potions.
